Beach chair on Aruba Beach

I don't know why I drew this.  Something about that tree.   Every evening I noticed how this one tree looked so... uh, special or something, especially during sunset.  Finally, on my last night in Aruba, I made this sketch and inked it in.  It looks kind of grayish--that's because I didn't try to process this drawing too much.  It's a straight scan of the drawing, rough edges and all.  This drawing reminds me of the haunting peacefulness I found at times in Aruba, whenever I got away from those horrible watersleds!

Oh, and here's a fun fact:  All the trees in Aruba are at a slant, and all in the same direction!  It's that incessant wind that causes this unique characteristic.  Really.
