A Woman in Paseo Dos Letras Galegas

I drew this in the park near Santiago de Compostela. This woman sitting by herself in the park with her newspaper on this windy day, struck me as a meaningful subject. After I finished the drawing, I approached her, showed her the drawing and offered to mail her a copy after I got back to the states. ("Creeeeepy!"--I can hear the chorus, but I think I possessed an air of goodnaturedness in my approach that led her to believe in my earnestness and gratitude for her part in modeling for this drawing.) She gave me her address! I sent her a copy and never heard from her again.
